We are looking for 2nd car - something small, 1.4 (If possble, 1.4i as we like a bit of a power lol)
We have a budget of £4,000 or so and we're looking for newer-ish car, i.e. 51 reg and onward.
Can anyone recommend a good, reliable car with 5 doors?
Norfolk area.
Cheers,

i could wank my self off and get a cleaner too
but living with a bird is alot better
open a window compared to aircon
only people WITHOUT IT think that
i wont get another car without aircon,, not if i used it everyday,,,,, its like me renting my flat out to move in with my parents

stick with a nice average bird who you can carry round your waist and fuck up against a wall
if you aint got the confidence to pull a good looking bird GET SOME TIPS and try again,,, always punch above your weight, not fuck about your weight
go get some confidence, if you got that ANYONE can pull i PROMISE you
and its more usefull than a bird whos gonna spend all your money on cakes and will be too lazy to do anything round the house

Thanks for the replies, everyone.
Oldie car is a no no.
It will be used for the missus too so it need to be run well and not breaking down too often!
I should have mentioned this earlier but... Insurance and road tax is also an concern. Need to be in cheaper range.
Will look over this post tomorrow and see what car we can find around Norfolk.

You'd probably get a 2002/2003 Fiesta 1.4 TDCi Zetec or Duratorq for the money. Great little car, about 64bhp but with 120 lbs/ft - so quite torquey. They are economical, cheap to tax (£35 a year) and to insure.
I've had one as my 2nd car for the last 12 months and it's great

There's plenty of choice in your price range but a lot of dogs about, the Corsas are low insurance, the Fiestas are nice to drive.... you can even go renault if you're feeling brave with a clio or scenic?
If you can stretch your budget a little, I have a couple of nice 1.6 Civics which in my opinion are the best value for money on the road. Plus the insurance groups are VERY low [don't know them off the top of my head].
