Default Fuel tank foam?

Where from, I need a quick fix to stop it surging on fast cornering. It surges at anything from half a tank of petrol or below

Is it just a case of stuffing the tank with foam, and can it be done in situ?

Thankenyou

i do believe you need to buy the tanks with the foam already in, its not like expanding faom that you use to insulate holes in brick work with...

The foam has a limited life and has to be replaced even in filled cells, so it must be flexible enough to squeeze in through a small opening.

the foam does not stop fuel surge at all, if you are suffering surge then it needs to be sorted properly, all the foam does is abosrbs the fuel to prevent masses of fuel loss all at once in accidents if the tank splits

Fuel tank foam isnt the solution, but it will be better than nothing.

I got a TON of it here if you wanted it.

most tanks have an internal collector maybe this has came away
should never surge with half a tank

Just use a separate swirl pot mounted under the car, I can do this if needed

it is quite possible i reckon

on track at ford fair last year (silverstone) i was in a group n fiesta st and done a few sessions, when it got to half a tank it surged like fook on the corner that leads onto the start/finish straight

but i broke the car later anyway so it didnt matter

GTiR's seem to be common for this. My mates one did this on left hand bends under 1/3 of a tank....

you will need a low pressure high flow fuel pump like one of facets offerings. obviously check its capable of flowing enough fuel for the engine at full chat.

need to replumb the system slightly to mate, chuck in new wiring (relay/inertia switch etc) and you'll be away.

the low lift pump doesnt need to be and wont be enough to fuel a large turbocharged engine as all its doing is keeping the pot topped up

of course it needs to be able to flow as much as the high pressure pump. otherwise when the engines consuming more fuel that the poxy lift pump can supply, the pot will run dry and rad will end up with 3 and a 1/2 pistons instead of 4.

think before you type.

to be fair rad the other bidder could have bid £100 more than you, but the bids only go up by a quid at a time!
