was talking to a fella the other day at the body shop where i took my car he was having his red escort cosworth painted or something

anyway after getting in grossed in convo about his mota he said when he bought it he had the option (from fords) to have 16's or 17's

surely this cant be right........17 inch escort cossie wheels from ford!

at that point i sorta said i had to go.........but am still wondreing i'm sure its bollocks personally

well a concours car at rockingham had them on it and if i figure out how to get photo's of the mobile i'll put the pics up for you but is only time i've seen them thats why i took pics as thought noone else would believe me and they do look a lot better in 17

they would have been 18,s . as a company have stared selling escot cossie looking wheels they where selling them at ford fair but cossies defo only came out with 16,s

 

There are some 17" or 18" OEM look EsCos wheels about, but they were not a dealer option.

 

they are 18's not 17's and are not made by ford, someone recently got some made using the pattern of a 16'' ford rim.

Probably some aftermarket wheels they were offering for a huge profit at the dealer when he was buying the car ,Not escort cossie style btw, just some crappy looking wheel i would say

Ford have always sold wheels made for them, these were always available for ANY car including escy.
My dad had the OPTIONAL wheels on his xr3, as steel was standard, in germany at least, it was a german spec car but right hand drive for the forces, alloys, cloverleaf ones were an optional extra.
