Bonjour Resto people.....

Well sein as ive done a 2wd saff,a 3dr,and RST,a R5GTT and other odds and sods,thought id have a crack at a FRST......

Need something to keep me ocupied on these winter nights,and week ends,so i picked me 1 up for abit of fun,and need something else to cain my wallet,as my liver and lungs cant take it any more!!!

Ok... Heres the car in question.....

Its been standing for just under 2years,and has just been left for dead...Its a mates car,so sorted a price with him,and the rest is history...

FFSH,all tax discs,all mot`s,interior is imaculate,and tbh sein as its stood for so long,is in pretty fuckin good condition!!!!







That was at his house...NOW its home....

Ok,plan of action for it....

2new wings,new NSF door,strip it down,full respray..

Engine wise...Ive been looking in to what you can and cant do on these for a while now...Il prob keep it standard for abit,as it looks a really neat,tidy,standard engine bay at the mo... Then il prob go for a T3 conversion,beiges,and a Stu or Karl set up... Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh not forgetin my pro alloy cooler too

RIght,,, IVe started a new job,so i dont wanna take the piss gettin the car in there already,so il do the Engine stuff at home 1st.... BIG chers to Burt for givin me a lift....

Unfortunatley,the Manifold was cracked,so a new 1 of them fuckers is needed....

And ive picked up al me new engine bits to put it back together....

After soaking them for abit,new lifters ready to go in...



And as it stands now,as its xmas week,and if you think im fuckin about with it when ive got time off work,you must have another fuckin things coming!!!!!!

looks like a tidy one, very nice, get standard mirrors back on there, id make it as standard looking as possible, wouldnt take much to do, get osme amber indicators back on the front?

 

yer i think so fella need 2 get some of the cash back that ive sunk in 2 the car, so i will take stock n consider sellin the car when i get back,

havent got exact dates as of yet will let u know thougt, it will b me, mr c and steve if his cars finished, amy may tag along if her heap holds togeather

Nice work Pete, one thing tho I think you've made a mistake with is fitting a felpro head gasket Standard genuine ford/Payen is the gasket to go for, Felpro's 9 times out of 10 fail between cylinders

genuine Ford one has lasted 14k so far

Got to get my "ford Passion" back to wanan go full hammer on 1,so il see how much this pisses me off,and if il finally knock restoring cars on the head,and uses scence,and just buy some thing i can just get in,and not have to worry about,AND isnt going to cost me hundreds every month.. Well im not the happiest boy on the world with the car now TBH...

My 1st venture back in to RS`s in 18months,and its ending in tear ALL FUCKIN READY!!!!!!!!!!

Ok,i rebuilt the top end,as i had,what i thought was a slight cam rattle,but now everythings been replaced,and refited,ive STILL got the rattle!!!!!!!!!!

So were 99% certain its the little ends that have gone... So im in the boat now,do i keep the car as standard as poss,or do i go full beans on it...

Im looking at these 1.8 zetec bottom ends,as im not after stupid power,just abit of fun on a Sunday afternoon,as the car is a 2nd car anyway... So a 1.8 zetec bottom end,T3,1 of Waynes coolers (pro alloy),and mabye a set of Beiges,and thats all id do if i wanted to go a bit further with it.. Ohhhhhhhhh and 1 of Stus chips....

So got to look at it in a whole new ball park now,and see what i wanna do and price shit up... But 1 things for sure,its going to get a tad buftied now,might aswell paint it ALL with the engine out etc,which i didnt plan on doing,but fuck it,might aswel now....

Only other thing ive done,is sort out abit of wanky wiring behind the dash,where it was wired in with shitty scotch lock things,for his gauge,fit a new radio,and fit a new heated front window switch...





And heres the fuckin,bastard thing!!!!!!!!!!
