Default my mk3....updated 14/1/08 engine in.new seats.cage finished

well guys , its done 42k from new, 4 owners....how could i not bid?? it was on ebay

first thing to get done when i got it home was a bit of elbow grease as it was not the biggest eye pleaser

then i got it up in the air to repair what was a small hole in the floor at the usual place, desided against repair and cut the pan out

next on the list was the lowered springs off my convertible, oh its a beast hahahahahaha

i was planning on just tidying the car up in general but as usual with me, im attatched hehehe, ive got a burton 1740 cvh with twin 40webbers for it now and its all alloy'd up. im not going to bore you all with typing big stories so heres the pics to date and il post more up when i have done some more work......

puma alloys and rally flaps

xr3 spoiler.....

then i found these on ebay and had to have them, there from germany

decided to have a go at making my own "just for show" roll cage......still to grinde the welds and paint it.......

and this is the seats i plan to keep in to touch with the rest of the retro interior

Great work mate! Wheels look awesome!

I'd lose the rally flaps though seeing as it's never going near a stage!

looking good so far , but i'd ditch the cage. you may not want to pay money for a proper one, but rest assured a properly made one won't kill you in a crash like yours would . i'm no expert on roll cages, but half of my family used to work at safety devices before they moved production abroad, so i know a little .

apart from that though, its cool

Bargain then, some good progress, but i reckon the cage lets it down you will always be able to tell it was made out of exhausts

DUE TO CHANGE OF PLAN IM NOW THINKING ON SELLING THIS........ NOT SURE WHAT TO SPEC IT AS BEFORE SELLING OR SELL AS IS.

CAR WITH STEALS. STANDARD
CAR WITH PUMA WHEELS
CAR WITH MIM POLISHED WIDE WHEELS
STANDARD ENGINE
BURTON 1740 WITH TWIN CHOKE WEBBER
BURTON 1740 WITH TWIN 40S

WOULD THERE BE MUCH INTEREST OR OFFERS?

I WOULD DO THE ENGINE FITTED,WEBBERS,AND THE POLISHED MIMS. YEARS MOT AND 6 MONTH TAX Ł2500
THE SHELL VERY GOOD, ORIGINAL X/MEMBER, CHASSIS NEVER WELDED ANYPLACE OTHER THAN NEW FLOOR OFFSIDE FRONT, INNER SILLS LIKE THE DAY IT LEFT FORD EVEN RIGHT AT THE BACK!! BATTERY TRAY BEEN DNE TOO.
