Default Few questions about my track car......

1 if i run slicks do i have to have a baffled sump????

2 should i run abs?????

3 3.9 or 3.6 diffs?????

4 what size rims, i have 18" mo's witrh intermediatre tyres at the moment


i'm sure i'll be asking more

1. DEFINATELY ( get a big wing job, its not worth the risk not using one)
2. I don't
3. Either really... 3.9 would be better in my opinion
4. 18's are fine but you WILL need another set of rims. so if money is an issue, going down to 17's on the second set will save a few quid on tyres.

1. Big wing sump is a MUST for serious track-days!!!

2. Best to keep the ABS on for now - you can allways remove it later.

3. Fit 3.9 diff/step-off.......Ideal for Castle Coombe on 17's/18's.

4. I would fit 17's as it will help with the gearing, and tyres are a bit cheaper than 18's.

Here is my sump



gaaaables, the slicks enable you to corner ALOT faster, and pulling alot of lateral G will cause oil surge/starvation.

I spun my crank on a BRAND new 400bhp engine at mallory park.... lesson learnt the hard way

Slicks = more grip = higher conering speeds = more oil surge

A guy called Nick did it for me. Can't remember the companys name. Its not cheap but it is good.

I have a spare 4x sump Spiky

Lee i see you have an extra couple of litres of capacity attaching itself to the underside also

Thats Reyland spec Group A/WRC rust proofing mate. VERY expensive....
