Well, we've got some catching up to do at the Ford camp, The jap boys are getting faster! there's some toys there today.I did 3x 14.2 runs at 112mph( my first run was against a local lad near me in his 460 bhp R32, I was a bit in front of him by the 1/8th marker, then he pipped me by .3 second by the finish) with wheels spinning all the way up, even with the slicks on for 2 runs.It was a good day, 3 Sapphires there too but some awesome Skylines, Andy Barnes Sumo car did a 9.64 qtr!

We stood in the side-grandstand for FireForce2's first run......I'm sure the entire grandstand literally moved as the sonic booms blasted out as it raced away from the line!

i was up against a skyline on one of my runs at york dragway today, sunno spec. (was trailered in though, not reliable then?? LOL!!! )

needless to say the R32 fucked me.

12.732@106.10 ---- 1/4 and mph ---- 13.756@ 106.76

you can guess which one was which

crossed the line faster than him (mph) but he had 4wd and massive gains in traction, hence the lower times from 60ft right upto the 1/4.
bugger....... propper fooked by a rice rocket!

got dusted off a MR2 turbo, it ran a 12.9 i think

best was a 14.6@ 103mph but the fucker was detting at about 6800+ @ only at 15psi. needs a set up. i wanted to crack the 13's untill it all went pear shaped last night when the boost played up

did anyone see the magenta saff cossie with tiger stripes that went pop when he launched it? looked like gearbox.

yep I deffo miss it but, I don't miss all the grief of owning one.

Glad to see some good figures from it. I certainly didn't cut corners. It pleases me to see good figures, even if I don't own it.

zvh's can do very well, people just spec them wrong. Tiny turbos on large capacity engines!

 

Exactly what ive always said, and nobody took notice, same as everyone used to dismiss it as rubbish when i used to say years back that cossies should be done how they are now (ie GT series, etc etc) and theyd be far more powerful and drivable and no less reliable

Maybe one day people might realise i do know what im on about

 

people always think they are going to be really laggy, but with the right cams etc spec'd correctly they aren't at all!

 

Fuck knows why people think that tho!

If a .63 T34 isnt very laggy on a relativley short stroke 2litre YB, it should be a lil less so in a longer stroke bigger capacity 2.1litre Zetec!
