As many of you will have noticed, a good few months ago i had to have my admin badge removed due to such things as:

So for a few months I eventually bowed to the pressure and took a back seat away from PF and left it to our ever capable web team to run with Julien.


Well, guess what?
That break has made me realise that running this place simply isn’t worth the trouble and grief it causes me and, more importantly, my business.


So, it is with genuine regret that I find I have to say a final goodbye to my admin role at the helm of PassionFord.com after an eventful 4.5 years. The fun has gone guys, and i didnt make any profit from it, i did it all for the love of the scene...

This place has caused me many a laugh and many a tear and I will without a doubt miss it, but i no longer have the time or inclination to be held solely responsible for everything that goes on and i can no longer have people complaining to me at work that their PM's haven’t been read, or they have forgotten their passwords, or they have been banned etc.

Had my business been struggling then I would have plenty of spare time, but with the launch of our new Evolution Chips serial programmers for our Worldwide dealer network we are busier than we ever have been before and every hour of my day is accountable for, especially when I factor in my home life that includes Nicole and I starting a new family, a house that we are renovating or my journalism duties for Fast Ford magazine.

So, i will still come back and visit you, but I will have to buy a gold membership just like everyone else. So i best start learning how to post in the correct rooms eh?

I want to say a big thank you to our web team. They do a thankless job and it really does pain me to see the grief and name calling they take on a daily basis. I think they are too lenient; I would have banned hundreds of you for the abuse you dish out.

Julien, you have been fun to work with on this project and I have learnt a lot from you. Thanks.

Traders, i will look after your accounts until they expire as you made a deal with me and i will see it out, but anyone who hasnt paid as of today, i suggest you contact Julien personally about renewing your subscription.

Last but not least, thanks to all you PF'ers.. Without all of you this place wouldn’t have been as good as it is, although that said, without half of you it would have been a lot faster. LOL

Seriously though, most of you have been a pleasure to administrate the site for, thanks very much.

Things like car forums on the internet, whilst they can provide you with good friends and can take up an inordinate amount of your time, matter not a jot in the grand scheme of things.

I would like to say thanks for providing a place for everyone to go after that RSOC BBS fiasco, and for being a good mate over the years too, primarily thanks to this place.

If more people took it all less seriously, it would be a much better place...

Good luck with the business expansion, and with the family. So much more important than moderating kids on the net.
