Default Racing Puma

after a bit of advice, basically been offered a frp for the sum of 5k, car has done 41k miles and is minted, full exhaust system, just had brakes done and a mountain of receipts and paperwork comes with the car.........

only thing is (and theres always 1 ) the car is registered as a cat D

damage was just to the front bumper and wing and a small bit to the inner wing, all has been properly repaired now and as i say it looks clean and has been back on the road for about a year....

is it worth 5k with it being a cat d???

many thanks in advance

Cat D usually means take a third fom the price,so it's a little over the top.

Cat D only means anything if you want to sell it on really. Shouldn't effect insurance.

If it's been repaired well, then I don't see a problem. Ł5K for a top spec FRP is a decent price. Should fetch Ł8K+ for a minter with 41K miles.

Whether an FRP makes sound sense to buy is another matter though and only you'll be able to deceide that.

Good luck

decisions, decisions it would basically be used as a daily runner for the other half to replace the clio williams, then maybe punted on later in the year, just really like the look of them but hear there maybe not best as a daily runner........... the car in question has been repaired to a very good standard and is owned by a true ford enthusiast(sp?) who had an absolutly concours s1 rst, so know its a good one... only cat d on a hpi not actually on the log book not that it really makes much difference, thanks for the comments so far keep them coming as still really not sure.....

If it's a daily runner, make sure you take it for a good drive over the sort of route it'd go on everyday before parting with your money. The suspension is quite hard and unforgiving (Mines a tad harder but I love it) My better half has a std. puma and the ride in her car is much more relaxing, yet still fun at the same time.

Darn site cheaper to buy and run a std one too.

That said - the FRP is a damn sexy looking and sounding car

the firmness ain't really an issue as the clio is lowered to the deck and is hard as hell, so the puma would probably be a luxery set up......

it was just more the cost as 5k is alot of money, although don't think it will drop much if any..........

yeah they are a phat cat, sexy as hell and so different, best of all though its a ford.......
