Cat D only means anything if you want to sell it on really. Shouldn't effect insurance.

If it's been repaired well, then I don't see a problem. £5K for a top spec FRP is a decent price. Should fetch £8K+ for a minter with 41K miles.

Whether an FRP makes sound sense to buy is another matter though and only you'll be able to deceide that.
