Default GT30 peeps

Fitted the turbo today after lobing off the old mounting for the turbo damper and the outlet of the comp housing is very close to the alternator.

My question is this... What have you done for your boost pipes and i take it i need a drop bracket for the alternator and where is the best place to get one

Any pics would be good

Thanks

yes mate thats the one when you fit it you will have to cut the lug off on your block to get it to fit, this will make sense when your alternator and bracket is off

i will say i didnt use standard belts purely as the standard ones didnt really fit with out modding the arm bit.

i made up a longer top bracket to allow the alternator to drop down as much as possinle. belts are 1 metre long and allow the boost pipe to run over the top of it (with the rs500 drop bkt too)

Are those standard belts? I need a drop bracket as with the genuine 500 cooler, my hose now hits the altenator. Got the bracket here - just have to bully Dunlop into fitting it

Chris Rogan @ motorspares. took a bit of messin around. the belts come in 5mm incriments so u can get it pretty close depending on how much adjustment u have on the top arm. i made mine the exact fit & had to redrill holes when i put the alloy waterpump pully on. will have to do the same again i think as i now have the ally power steering, crank & alternator ones to match (along with a lot more goodies) as its that time of year
