Are the engine looms different depanding on the year, as I have a 1988 2wd engine loom and it has different plugs on it compared to my 1993 car
As the car was originally an XR4x4 will I need a late model cossie 4x4 loom and will it work with a 2wd cossie ecu?

Just use a 2wd engine loom as the 4x4 ones are naff anyway! There are only about 5 or 6 wires to connect to the main car loom so its not difficult even if the plugs are different

Cheers spadge I dont suppose you happen to know where the wires in the plug nearest to the ecu need to be connected to?
And where the oil pressure cable would join the car loom

The plug from the end of the engine loom ie green,black/red etc...need to be connected into the car loom behind the passenger side dash! If you need to know what wire does what let me know!
If you are using a 2wd loom and a PF09 tps just switch the 2 end wires around going to it

Thats the plug spadge, my car doesn't have the plug to connect to inside the car, instead it has 3 plugs under the bonnet to connect to
The tps is from a 2wd so should be fine
