loads of posts say moved................but are still there.........

 

When they have "Moved" next to them, they're called "shadows", it shows people that their thread has been moved to the appropriate room for a number of reasons:

1. Admin are tidying the site up to make it more user friendly.
2. We're trying to get people to use the WHOLE site, to help everyone in the long run.
3. The shadows will be left for a while until people get used to it, so they don't think their posts have just been deleted and subsequently make useless posts asking where the original ones went.
4. Clicking on the links with "moved" next to them, takes you to the room the thread was moved to. We're hoping it'll help people get used to going around the site rather than posting eveything in GD.

technical questions are getting moved from the g.d. room i think thats a silly thing to do as g.d. is the most used room and more people would answer if left in g.d.

If this carries on there will be nothing in GD as theres that many rooms every post will be getting moved. I posted last night about getting a quad that then got moved into motorcycle or something which I didnt even know existed, got about 20 views in 24hrs, if it had been left in here im sure id have got a few more replies which is what everyone else knows already. You only have to look at the list of users browsing at the top to see no-one uses the other rooms, bar maybe the muppet room. You can try too hard mods and thats what ruins the place. Getting so much like the RSOC BB of days of old its uncanny

 

The mods are doing a great job, keep it up fellas.

At this rate, people may actually realise that the most knowledgable people actually frequent and reply in the correct rooms. lol.
