Default Just had a play with my new Canon EOS400d

Been having a play with the new camera and after 10 mins of having a dabble with the advanced and extended settings, had a little bit of fun

Long exposure of 10 seconds for an oil burner with a T-light candle - the only light source for this picture:

Then had another play with Flat Eric (oooer ) and a bit of fun with light trails this one using my mobile as the light source for the trail, backing light provided by my LCD monitor in a dark room

Then found a little torch and gave Eric the little devil look

I love photography

COMEDY DAN

I've sent Stu the oilburner one

I've resized these to 1024x668 as the original images were 10 times bigger

Must have been alot of bits and bobs unless you bought all your stuff from the high street.

Camera is Ł375 with cash back.

You can buy batteries from USA with a higher rating than the Canon one for about Ł10 each.

Compact flash from HERE I ordered a 12gig card from there for Ł129, it was through my letterbox less than 24 hours later. (Jessops quoted the same CF card at Ł375 )

This is a god site if you don't already use it.

Just found the batteries. (took a couple of weeks to get to me)

Cheers Stu - cracking shot of Wong there, not sure what Dan is trying to do with his mind there - "I can move things with the power of thought"

Interestingly, what setting did you use to acheive the colour for the main part of the photo of Dan and then black and white for the unfocussed part? or was it done in photoshop?

Out of interest, do you have a program that automatically places your copyright logo on your images (IE, load the program, choose a copyright text or image, location on the picture to apply, and then select the pictures to apply it to)?

I could do with one of them for when I start getting serious
