Putting this up o see if there is anyone interested in a cheap box, if not i will get it fixed and sell for the full price.
Osborne semi helical box , 2 teeth off of 3rd gear after a bearing went, when stripped i found the two teeth on the casing magnet.
I stripped the box down and all other gears and syncros look mint.
Looking for £600

Will also have the semi helical box with 60nm v/c out of my car forsale soon as im going full straight cut. £1200
Both of these boxes would be good for around 400bhp , good road boxes as they are not too noisey but doo give a nice whine

The box is semi helical so less trans loss also made from stronger heat treated metal.
When i looked into getting a new gear from ATM ( i know there rep but they have the gears on the shelf) im sure it was around £250 so that and a rebild with new bearings would have the box rebuilt for around £1K.
Marco might be able to give more info ?

No would say all in around £1100. £600 box ,£250 gear £250 rebuild.
To be honest i think the V/C for this bocx is uprated aswell but dont know for sure so not listing it as that.
The box in my car will prob not be out untill late Dec or Jan as the car is in getting an engine built and the box will be getting removed when i get it back to run in.

I would say bara / marco or ATM sport would be the best to sort the box out , ATM recon they have the gears on the shelf so may be the best to do it all in house.
Hi neil
i could get the box repaired for you .but you would be better of getting the 3rd gear yourself or supply it with the 3dr gear then ill get it rebuilt for you or the new owner
all Bara will charge you is 200 +parts that includes stripdown/rebuild/clean /dyno
what i can understand why do the weld the gear in place that must be a cheaper way of doing it
ours are all complete all one piece
cheers marco

Thanks Marco i was wondering about the weld myself, take it once the shaft is out the box it would just be a simple case of putting it in a lathe to skim the weld.
I was going to get the box rebuilt then sell it for the full price but thought i would stick it up on here as a cheap option for someone as got too many parts lying about justnow

personaly i would get it repaired and sell it as a working box
it's extra more money towards a new box
