what are they like to live with is there anything to look out for when looking at one

 

Love mine.... Had it a year with ZERO problems and it had 10k miles on it when I had it. (2 years old)

**Some** complain about fuel consumption but I dont think thats a problem.
People forget its 2.5 and a turbo performance car so it will drink fuel.

 

fuel cant be as bad as the m3

Mine does 28 mpg (short term average) on a brisk drive.

Not bad but then I did have a 400 bhp cossie before

 

I have one fantastic car even better now with 280hp and soon to be 340hp .

iv got a frost white one 300 bhp st3 looks cool and i love it as my every day car and over the last 2000 mls iv returned 24 mpg

 

Just got to sell the M3 now

iv got a gt28 rb with 60rs rear housing but havnt managed to get a manifold for it and im not paying 1495 forthe primary desighns one.any 1 help?will put some pics up tomo

I've mine a few months now. Hasn't giving any major trouble but they have 1 or 2 little faults. Early models had problems with drive shafts (think fords upgraded them in mid 06) thankfully mine has the upgraded one's also they have a warranty problem with the seal in the dip stick. Some of them have been known to leak oil. With the issue of fuel it's a 2.5 turbo car so it's going to drink the petrol. Best purchase you can get is a dreamscience handset. Just plug it in and it makes a very noticeable difference.

how much is it for dreamscience handset ? as i know i will not be able to leave is as it is

not all that fussed about fuel costs as i said it cant be as bad as the M3 or the cossy

 

Bought my dreamscience handset from pumabuild for Ł450. Rang a few places about buying a unit but pumabuild seemed the most helpful. Answered every question i asked and they had it posted over to ireland in no time at all. The handset makes a huge difference to the car especially torque wise. What will you be doing to make it 340?

 

Based on what other tuners are claiming but I havent seen real concerete prove yet the ST will do it with a airbox mod and bigger turbo,
This is what I will be basing my tweaks on but it will be what it makes nothing more or less .

mines got 310bhp with,d/s remap.mongoose turbo back exhaust with d cat,ggr filter,radtec i/c . . .only getting 17mpg tho!!!sounds mint tho!!!!






i know it needs coilovers . . .be on soon tho!!!!
and little clip,doesnt do it justice tho,sounds much better and louder in person!!!
