yes they can be unibonded and tiled over. There is even a bonding product now that once applied allows you to plaster skim over them. I wouldnt but you can.

From personal experience being a blind man when you tile on tile it makes the window frame very narrow usually so any type of blind ect you will usually get gaps down the side and normally doesnt look too good tbh other than that and it making the room smaller dont think it matters a lot

My fathers been a tiler for 20 years and tiles over tiles quite often and never had any problems.

if ur happy to tile over them then do it.

i decided to take mine off and the next day i was at wickes ordering 7 sheets of plater board.

a weekend later and my bathroom had all new walls and ceiling.

but in the kitchen a had all the tiles off with just a wallpaper scrapper in about 10 minutes.

all depends on who fitting the tiles and how well they done it.

LOL causes probs round windows and doors

Its a good backgrounds as any uneven areas of the wall have already been got out with the existing tiling so thats a bonus. As long as you you put plenty of unibond on theres nothing wrong in going over....

i done the same with the kitchen, ripped me off to find half the plaster come with it,,,, tried to skim the walls,, then remembered the plaster board from my chimney left over

a few raw plugs later and a few screws,,, SORTED

cant decide what tiles i like though so theres just plasterboard then ill finish it off when we decide
