Hello can any one tell me where to look for all the date stamps on a 2wd saff its an e plate

Which Date stamps are you after mate?

THe ones on the front wings are (I think) halfway up the seam where it's spot welded to the inner wing - the date code (if I remember right) is the week number and the year, and is accompanied by the Ford badge. The week number should be within the month that the car was built, so June should roughly be week 26 - 29.

There are also date stamps on the bonnet and the tailgate, but don't know where they are.

 

Cheers mate ive seen em on the wings but not sure about rear quarters etc
I know where they all are on the 3doors but saffs ive never took a lot of notice

 

Middle of the rib inside the boot I think, at least from memory??

 

if your looking for the date then cant you just use the chassis number to find what month/year ect?????

And the panels will tell you the week that it was made, not just the month

 

yeah mate the date stamps on the boot are level with the boot lock on the inside front wing are near the top of wings past the strut tops bonnet is same as boot underside there is a ford stamp on back panel where your jack bolts up and a ford stamp on each post between front and rear doors bout half way down the post oh ford stamp in middle of front panel and on the front wings thay are at the bottom near were the front panel meets the wings but rear quarters pass dont think there is a date stamp??? or a ford stamp??you can usuly tell if original by the sealer on back quarters unless its somewhere inside the quarters there should be a ford stamp on each door inside under locking claspe
