do they fit? whats needed, the Mrs focus box is getting a bit noisey, and we do shed loads of motorway miles..... time for a 6 speed if its an easy conversion

 

terrible conversion to do, the ST 170 uses a daul mass flywheel which is not the best, if you dont use the daul mass flywheel you will need to make up the lost space as a standard flywheel is a lot thinner,,, another problem is the speed sensor, the normal focus one dosnt fit the 6 speed box & the 6 speed one is miles out for a normal focus!

 

You would not believe the amount of Dual mass flywheels we change on our fleet of transits at work... We have found a place that can get us solid flywheels again

 

i know dual mass flywheels are shite i also change loads! wasnt aware the st170 had them sure some company valeo i think were making dual mass/standard conversions, so may have a look at them.

as for speedsensors, in what way would it be out? the st170 has 17" wheels, which our focus has, tbh the speedo is miles out now so may make it better
