Cheers mate

This is my dilemma tbh, do I go for a GT30 OR a T34 and run that to the max.

Bit of a difficult situation as its going in a Mk2, my engine builder said a Mk2 on a T34 is the way to to do it, Dingy admits his would be a faster track car on the T34 too. A GT30 is a 500hp turbo, I don't want 500hp off gas lol

I do like my drag racing though and 400hp simply wont cut it, even with another 100+hp of gas I'll be hard pushed to break into the 10's, which is eventually what I want the car to run.

I want to speak to Kev Warn who has the nice red RS2000 as he has had both the T34 and GT30 so he should have a honest opinion on what it drove like.

I'm not really desperate to sell but a mate of mine is buying a GT30 and we may be able to crack a deal if we buy 2

Tuff one mate, i guess for a track car it would be a T.34.48 Housing, it'd be really punchy that setup, had that on my 3dr, BUT doesn't carry nowhere near enough grunt to get you your desired quaters..

Thats the thing, there is no happy compromise really.

I drive my mates 3 door a fair bit which runs a T34.55 and thats 375hp, its quick, infact very fast to me as I don't drive a car that powerful often but I know I would soon want a bit more and that turbo wont provide enough.

The more I've thought about it tonight I think I would be better sticking to the T38, it will be a bit laggy, but I have no doubt I'll be happy with it.

Decisions decisions !

Have you got a copy of your power graph to hand mate ?

Here ya go mate, made good power really, FT.LB wasn't the best but that's the cams in the car we think, they'll be changed soon.

They're a good turbo jonny, i'm impressed with mine, really pulls well, BUT s you can see from the graph, ther'e not alot happing until 4kish.. shame you can't come and have a blast in it..

What exhaust manifold is it set for? looks like neither 2wd or 4x4 how it is now, what manifold you gonna use JohnnyBravo? way I see it is that's plenty big enough for a mk2 except for drag racing but you should decide what it is- track or drag, can't really do both or you will end up with something that's not the best at either

If my turbo blew today I would put a t34 .48 on it as big power isn't all that after you've got used to it, after a while you just want smoothness and response well that's how I feel anyway

Sensible advice there mate, my engine builder says use a T34, I just dont want to be maxing that out in all honesty.

I don't expect it to be amazing at drag racing but if I'm willing to just run it on the strip for a few months then the setup can be changed accordingly I will need more power than a T34 can give to see the times I want as well.

Didn't you have a T34.63 on yours ?

I imagine its quite quick as it is !

Also its set for a standard 2wd manifold.

I've only rested it on my manifold and it sat perfectly.

Now not for sale though
