Why does my insurance keep going up?

I got my Mondeo almost two years ago and insurance was reasonable, but after my first renewal it doubled but was still cheaper than everyone else so I stayed with them. Now I need to re-new it again and it’s going sky high, and all the other quotes I'm getting are stupid. Is there a logical reason for this? Has there been a sudden increase in young lads writing off diesel mondeos or something?
Despite me having 1 years NCB (didn’t earn anything for the first year) and not making any claims the cost keeps going up and up
Someone recommend me an insurance company please, all the popular ones are giving me stupid quotes
Cheers.

whats your personal circumstances , such as age location etc and how much have you been getting quotes for?
i keep hearing people saying that they pay figures like £250 per year fully comp at 25 with modifications and such like and its always confused me. im 37 with 4 years ncd and no points and still pay over £600 for my touring

i just did a quote on quotelinedirect as me, but put the age as 17 (only 16) for a 1.25 fiesta third party fire and theft and it came out at well over 2 grand a year
Ive done ones less than half the price of that
