Well it's taken me a few years to get my bits together, but i'm builidng virtually from scratch, here's a link to the project i'm doing ....

https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...897&highlight=

Sadly though, I think I gotta strip the engine down before I get it running,as I think the head has been skimmed below 136.7 mm and seeing as i'm running BD 10's I could end up with pistons kissing valves

LOL i'd hate to add up how much it's cost me over the years lol

lolol!
niiice project, any tips for what brake conversions can be done on the capri???
on a short run (30-40minutes) ive been having problems with the std brakes gettin so hot they glow bright red for about 5minutes until they cool down naturally....
looks cool, generally not too good!

also can you take the brake shroud off the inside of the front brake disks, or is this to protect stuff behind the caliper itsself and deffo needed??

Nah Just take the shroud off,it's what you have to do to put 2.8i vented discs on a 1.6L or 2.0L. You could try Caprisport's setup,it's what i'm doing. Give Neil a shout and ask him bout his conversion, you can put 280mm discs on with his setup, under 15 inch rims

The setup i'm going to be using, uses his modified hubs,so the disc sits at the front of the hub,not the back, using I think either a Sierra or Escort Disc. RS Turbo S2 calipers,2.0L capri servo and Land Rover master cylinder. And rear disc conversion also using Sierra Bias valve,so I don't lock the rear end up.
