Different pistons( so you have the right c/r) the block will need a hole cut for the oil return for the turbo and oil feed for the turbo. it's works out alot easyer and cheaper to just get a turbo bottom end mate.

You can never make the oil return on a N/A block the same as a turbo block because the castings are different.

As above really for the price you can get a turbo motor for.

No you can't get it exactly the same but you can get it working perfectly well - I know because I've done it

so it can be done if i get the oil return sorted out on the sump and get the correct rst pistons that would be the engine side sorted out? then its a case of bolting on the turbo and everything else?

Running very well now thanks mate, despite what the lump hammer wielding Chav man says lol.

The conversion was quite easy really. I got a local engineering firm to drill the holes for the CPS and turbo oil return. Changed the pistons and voila - turbo CVH with the original engine number.

The only difference in the casting is that the turbo block has a proper drain internally, whereas if you have the hole drilled the oil will run down the inside of the block unless you get a "spout" arrangement fitted.

I would definately do this conversion again, its so much quicker than it was before

so would it be easier to swap the engine or get my wifes uncle who is a welder and very very handy with drilling stuff and that to weld me an oil return pipe on to the sump?

It would be alot easyer and cheaper to get a turbo engine you can pick up a decent one for about £200-300. It will cost you more than that to build your own.

you can get a CVH in the back of most hatch back cars, could even get it in a saloon if you wanted to!

As for mileage ive never ONCE been able to find anything i need close to me, doing the miles seems inevitable.
