Non turbo CVH to Turbo CVH
As above was wondering what needs doing to the engine to make it into a turbo i know it will need the turbo and parts like that but it wqas more the block its self and bits like that im unsure of
Different pistons( so you have the right c/r) the block will need a hole cut for the oil return for the turbo and oil feed for the turbo. it's works out alot easyer and cheaper to just get a turbo bottom end mate.
so how much am i looking at for just the engine and hoses i dont need anything else i have it already from when i was going to do a zetec turbo before i got rid of the car and got my cabby

As above really for the price you can get a turbo motor for.

so it can be done if i get the oil return sorted out on the sump and get the correct rst pistons that would be the engine side sorted out? then its a case of bolting on the turbo and everything else?

Running very well now thanks mate, despite what the lump hammer wielding Chav man says lol.
The conversion was quite easy really. I got a local engineering firm to drill the holes for the CPS and turbo oil return. Changed the pistons and voila - turbo CVH with the original engine number.
The only difference in the casting is that the turbo block has a proper drain internally, whereas if you have the hole drilled the oil will run down the inside of the block unless you get a "spout" arrangement fitted.
I would definately do this conversion again, its so much quicker than it was before

been looking and cant find an engine close enough for me to get so i have no choice but to get the camshaft and pistons from a rst engine and fit them then get the oil return sorted out anything else i will need to do?
you can get a CVH in the back of most hatch back cars, could even get it in a saloon if you wanted to!
As for mileage ive never ONCE been able to find anything i need close to me, doing the miles seems inevitable.
