Default Mickhausen hillclimb 07

Been there as a spectator this weekend and again it was lots of fun.

But the most exciting moment was when I spotted PF member kennyA's Cossie in the paddock. Honestly guys, Kenny is certainly the friendliest race driver I've ever met at such an event. I would have surely enjoyed chatting to you a bit longer but I felt that you should concentrate on your final runs so I didn't wanna distract you too much. Apparently it worked as I've spotted a low 1.02 in the results! Congrats, mate!

Here's a few pictures, sorry that the quality's a bit poor. When I spot an EsCos I'm always too excited to hold a camera... :P

Kenny's Cossie in the paddock...

... and on the track

Kenny's speed (kph) shortly before the first corner. Not bad for a B-road. And it's not even the fastest part of the track.

The other EsCossies were only doing 138 and 153 there.

If you're interested you can find some of the other pictures I've taken this weekend (including some RS cars ) here:

Hallo Peter

It was a pleasure to meet you at Mickhausen, the photos are great. I hope you had a great time, next year I might have a team tent and can invite pf members in for a coffee.

I tried to catch the ex DTM Omega and the ex DTM M3, but I couldn't find the 0.5 secs per run. So I ended up 5th, 3rd would have been a dream result. The Swiss 2.5 ltr Opel Cadets have 350ps and weigh 200kg less than my cossie, so no chance to catch them. I must learn to drive faster though, in the two corners I didn't have the best line. I'm quit happy with 160kmh before the first corner.
Did you see the speed of the yellow Mondeo of C Auer?

It's always a great event at Mickhausen, the quality of cars and drivers is top. Hope to see you again next year. ( with 450ps, 600nm, ALS and launch control) I must speak with Shirley about the cash

Did you see the Ferarri 575 GT? (and the team LKW)?

Also the Porsch of H Pregartner, 740ps and over 700nm of torque.

Both Meisel and Plasa broke the tourenwagen track record again.

regards

Kenny.

The ex-BTCC Mondeo was slower than that if I remember correctly. Something like 152. When I walked through the paddock, I heard the guy complaining about the handling of his car. Something like "it's pulling me into the corner too much on throttle, would be a lot easier with PAS". Well I certainly wouldn't mind having 300 bhp, a trick diff and racing slicks on my RS Turbo.

The DTM-Omega was doing over 170, as were the two Kadetts.

The Fezza looked and sounded gorgeous, however the team didn't really fit there... A bit too posh if you ask me.

And yeah, that Porsche was a monster. However the best sounding car must have been one of those Delta Integrales or even the Scooby of Jelinek, I'm a turbo addict, you know!

But with ALS chances are good it'll be your Cossie next year.

Maybe I should try to arrange a fan club with air horns so we can deafen all the other spectators every time you come by!

Hi

The new orange Lancia of F Pailer looked ok, really wide. Also the white Lancia of Iannello is usually quick.

I was happy to see my times were faster than Jelenic's Subaru, it looked a nice car, well sorted.

till next year...
