refurbing frst wheels, shotblasting?

refurbing frst wheels, shotblasting?
i was planning on having a set of frst wheels shotblasted then powder coated but the fake disc thing they have is a diff colour, is there anything that can protect thus if i was to shotblast them? cheers guys

put a picture up it might be easier
can the part be removed? i take it you dont want to paint the centre part?
it can be masked up when blasted thats not an issue
