Default New Job

Started my new job yesterday after a dispute with my previous employer, and to put it simply, I fucking love it

Last job they were constantly breathing down your neck that X Y and Z needs to be done, despite the fact I was overloaded anyway. They also had no flexibility... You had to be in the office sat twiddling your thumbs if things were slow.

New job though, they are a whole lot less snobby, its more flexible (i.e right now im sat at home, all paperwork complete, got a meeting to get to for 1pm until about 4, get home, complete the paperwork from the meeting, e-mail it to head office, then im off tomorrow )

Extra 5k/year for the pleasure too. Beats stuck in the shitty office I had before

Just goes to show there is always better out there. The last job I had was the best paid i'd managed to find in this field, but this ones even better and its a whole lot better job

Mental Health Advisor.

Basically I deal with people suffering Depression, Schizophrenia, Drug Induced Psychosis etc - many of which are under 30.

Which is the reason I left my last place as out of 18 service users on my books only 2 suffered from mental health problems. I don't specialise in Nursing Care and know bugger all about alzheimers etc. I was employed to deal with Mental Health problems

ive been offered an estate agents job selling houses for 3000 a month...(before tax)

probably gonna employ a shop manager instead of me being here all day, and go and earn good money elsewhere.

win win.

its easy to get stuck in a rut at a job...

you realise when you leave how shit it was! lol

been there, done that.

also done the other thing of leaving a well paid job for something 'supposedly' better, and it's gone fucked. ooops!

Not easy at all though. You have to be thick skinned (i.e HARSH) but also caring at the same time.

Try calming down somebody who is throwing their DVD player, Hi-Fi, kitchen knives, etc at ya (trust me its not as easy as throwing them back at them, been there, done that, got laid out by him in the end )

Worst part about it is dealing with the younger ones. So many people who have been estimated for First Class Degrees at uni, got stuck in the rut of drugs, now suffering Drug Induced Psychosis with no prospects
