blowtorch, socket set, allen key set and a mallet. undo the nut beat the fuck out of it (not the thread the round bit the joint goes through) till the balljoint pops out then unscrew it off the steering arm if it aint seized to fuck.

fit new one roughly then get the tracking done.

undo the locking nut on the steering rod firsy, drown it in penetrating oil, if its not been undone in a while then drown it again, put a spanner on it and hit it hard to undo.

then undo the track rod end nut in the hub and hit it upwards, once again hard.

The hammer is an instrumental tool in this operation.

if your idea of fun is lots of scraped knuckles, bits of skin attatched to your car, solvent in the wounds and a bent spanner, then you are in for a whale of a time.

the blowtorch comes in handy if you have one

Its not that bad ! I enjoyed it so much that i also changed the lower arm on the other side because the fucked track rod end wasnt the only problem

So in the 6 months ive owned it it has had 3 different lower arms on the nearside and 2 on the offside

Atleast its sorted. Till next time stupid cars
