combi's are cool, just brought 1 myself

 

miss my one, was all painted, 240 hp and got nicked in april! ( this is a old photo!)

 

The wheels suit it what make are they?

 

ive had one for about 4 months, cool wee vans, mines nearly finished, just a few niggly things to do, i will do a resto thread once its finished

 

ive jus sold the wheels of it for Ł30,needed referbing.did suit it though.i just put sum TSW 6 spokes on it &they fill the wide arch kit beta.need to take some more pics of it wen get it out of garage.

 

remember seing part of the resto on this van did look very nice.keep thinking of selling mine but the missis said i ant cause id do her head in saying i miss it all the time.come to fink of it she's bloody right.

 

Cool mate i've just been offered a white one and i'm thinking of having it tbh, Those wheels were way too cheap at 30 quid tho wish i'd have known

 

how much is it?if its cheap & not 2 nacked snap it up cause they getting rare & jus about every 1 wants 1.

i paid 350 for mine & needed welding .i would buy that if i got offerd it.

then i got offerd a cossy kit for Ł150 on a escort cab so fort id go for it.


i fort the kit looked crap at first,then jus got use to it.

bumper was to short so at to make bigger.


same with the arches.














only got this pic of the back bumper.it took time to cut out the bit were
the boot opens & then make good agen.lots of sanding & filling.loads more to still do.


took this pic when first put wheel spaces on.32mm & they are perfect.

im going to change the front bumper cuz it looks shit.
doesnt go with the kit.goin to get the cossy one agen.



then this is were my project came to a stand still for about 4 months
until i got offerd a 2.0 zetec for free.so could'nt refuse that.my mate had a 1.8 bottom end with all the parts to transfer over & that was free to
just needs wiring up now


put that in & thats it so far.really should pull my finger out & get it done.
would be nice to go ford fair in it.

depends what engine size you goin 4?
the 1.8 is the best because it wil go straight to your standed gearbox not like the 2.0.
mines a 2.0 & i had to change the oil pick up pipe,sump,fly wheel,water pump which engine size you puting in?

 

1800 130 lump cheers mines only a escort bonus tho so i will have to change lots more bits i suppose

 

i need to get a new bumper for the front.the cossie 1 in pic is sh*t.
goin to sel that delta first though.

 

Yeah it will look alot better with a decent cossie bumper and splitter on

 

mine was a 1.3 & i had 2 change alot of stuff
but its well worth it
i had a escort cab sat on drive doing nothing though so i robbed most of the bits 4 my van & then put all van stuff on cab & sold it.
you want to get a 3i rolling shell or a turbo 1 it would be abit easier mate.

 

just a litte update.got a better front bumper,
alot better than that crap delta one.
had to cut 70mm out the middle as its for the mk5 escort & they are abit wider,
i wanted this one as the mk4 escort cossie bumper is'nt very deep & this one is.
looks more like the real cossie bumper.

desided to get rid of the badboy bonnet as it looked wank





just needs bonding together & i need to get a mk5 cossie grill.
fook nose when ill be doin it though,it prob get sold b4 it's finished.

yeah ive seen the yb 1 in fastford,have thought about it but my brother inlaw did that to his mk3 estate & said not to bother,have thought about rear engine but its the time it takes & dont have much of it

 

dont know when it will be finished mate,would like to show it 1 day,would be cool driving to show's in a big line of combi's is the web site running yet as of when i heard of it last it wasnt runnig?

yeah ill keep it mate.its cause i ant doin owt to it makes me think should i just fuck it off.every time i go in the garage i just use it as a shelf,its full of spare parts for all diff cars & the roof must be full of dints by nowmust get that crap of it & do somethin to it.

 

i felt the same way about a golf gti i have and i still havin got round to sellin it or doing anything to it but i think u shud definetley keep this it will look gud wen done
