Default how much does it cost to get a home extension?

I am doing some pretty big changes to my house in the new year, and now am thinking of alos an extension, does anyone know what sort of cost is for a small extension to be put on the back of the house, only extending about 5-6ft out, I know that dont seem alot, but once added to the other bits getting done it will be pretty cool, just brainstorming so have no idea of costs really, so if anyones had done a small extension to the back of the hose done can you tell me what it cost please, just the extension, not plastered or nowt

a 6ft single storey extension will cost around 5-7k depending on roof type etc. Including planning fees etc.
