I saw the India batting at lunchtime, and Pakistan didn't give you much to hit.

No surprise it had an incredible atmosphere though!

 

it was a bit close towards the end, they twated us around the ground in the last few overs

dojj - I was sat in the pub at lunchtime with a whole bunch of cricket fans - pakistan fans one side of the pub, indian fans on the other, and us 4 white english guys in the middle acting like the UN peacekeeping force!

There was some tension there

aaahh i should have gone down then

 

funny thing is i foned one of my mates (of english origin) to come to the pub with us to watch it, he refused cause he's been before when there was tension in the pub and he didn't want a repeat

but he made sure that if i go southall to take him with coz he's come before with us n he loved it

 

couple of my mates are locked up now, due to fighting after the game so stupid..

but whoever started a fight with my mates must be stupid..as theres about 20 of them and there all crazy and all piss heads

 

to be honest, even though there is loads of tension, it's normally just name calling nowadays in public, the days of running street battles is long gone of an evening
middle of the night's are different, then you ca get shot of chopped up with a machette

it's the same thing come vasakhi or eid or the like, the singhs stay away or they come out en mass, same with the muslims because you know there are going to be loads of the other lot there (fairly easy to distinguish because they'll be waving flags ) so no point in giving it the big un because you'll end up getting beat up with the flag sticks
which tend to be wooden poles

Well from a Pakistani Supporters view firstly what a match. India had the game in their hands by the time we had 7 out. So for Pakistan to comeback was fantastic just gutted it got so close..... I reckon India would've been gutted if they'd lost

Gutted Pakistan lost but from a neutral point Great Match, was anyones game till the end and you could'nt have asked for a better final.

Happy the Pakistani team has improved in fielding department and the bowling as nearly most the time was superb.

Tbh India has always had a stronger batting lineup but the bowling needs improving. Good luck with the Aussies...
