Depends on what ya want doing and who you know?

A basic drawing will cost around Ł300, but if you need it to be put through for planning, then building regs, the price will jump up considerably.

You not got any mates that work as an Architect / Civil Engineer?

I did all my brothers in laws extension plans for fuck all (but he did chuck me Ł50 for a few beers) saving him hundreds.

Obviously you might strike lucky and find someone that will do it cash in hand for a bit less, but unless you've got contacts its looking like a few hundred easy.

Basic details of what I want to get drawn up are:

Garage converted to kitchen

Kitchen brought out about 4 ft to meet the front of house (porch etc) and what was the old kitchen turned into a bedroom with door through to the downstair kiddiminster, which will be increased in size to include a bath

There ya go!

I will try and find someone who does it but I don't think I know anyone... Don't mind paying though but I had no clue as to the cost

we found a "cheap" one

he drew the drawings all wrong and when the council guy came he said the walls were shorter or longer than they were supposed to be and we didn't need the extra 3 metal girders he's put in because there was already a beam in place

so we didn't pay the builder the extra money he'd charged us to get the drawings done
