I had my car forsale on ebay. It finished at 13:31 yesterday. The winning bidder bidded at 10:10 on the same day. Surely if you bidded on car and you knew it finished at 13:31, you would check to see if you won it ??

Well, i sent the winning bidder a message about 5/10 mins after it finished, including a invoice with instrutions of payment and collection dates.

I never received any messages, emails or deposit. Saturday went by, nothing. Sunday... nothing up until about 16:15 and i get a message from him asking for a contact number to contact me about payment and collection. I replied like 2/3 mins after i received that message and haven't heard a peep since.

I've requested his contact details but guess what... the phone number doesn't work.

Theres 4 things that are making me suspicious of dealing with him....

Phone number : 02392420838 - Not recognized
Feedback : 2 Negative with for no payment and nothing bought in the last 6 months.
Not responding to messages : I've sent messages and had no replies.

I've asked him to reply by by 8pm otherwise I will be filing an "Unpaid Item Process" and reporting him to eBay.

Do you think i'm in the right ? What do you think ?

I'm still interested in it at the reserve you want mate, if all falls through. Good luck with him though.

 

you've been fooked over by the look of it mate i always state that if you have not got postive feedback of over 10 i will cancel your bids

 

But he does.... he has 40 positive feedbacks

 

ah right mate well in that case i've had it before were they bid and win and then take a week to get back to you i think its a case of them not having the money just yet and making time for them selves lol

 

If he hasn't got the money, then he shouldn't had bid. Or at least contact me and tell me

your right enough but if you were bidding on a car you would tend to check to see if youd won it pretty sharpish after the auction ended .
the fact that he has a duff email, false phone number and isnt responding to messages doesnt look good to me.

 

Hi Adam, long time no speak, how are you doing mate?

I do a lot of E-BAYing and I would give him a bit more time. Some people are just slow, if it was me I'd want it sorting out asap but it takes all sorts to make a world.

There are a heck of a lot of time wasting twats on E-BAY but there are a lot of genuine people too so give him a bit more time because he may not be on the computer much, I had this not long ago with someone who I thought wasn't going to go through with a deal but suddenly popped up and it all went smoothly, and that was on a car too.

 

but did they give you a duff email addy and a false phone number?

 

I've had someone genuine this week e-mail me from a Hotmail address and me not be able to reply to them. Best thing to do is mail them through E-BAY rather that through direct e-mail.

I may be wrong but its worth giving people a chance, not everyone on E-BAY is a waster.

 

Its a w78ker abroad by the sounds of it i had someone do that on aset of tyres had a buy now price and lots of watchers and this bloke hit the buy now and never contacted me then sent a email which went into my spam box saying to post abroad to HIS SON
And they were collection only

And ebay wanted me to wait 7 days before filing it

I've been sending him messages via Ebay... I tried to email him direct but it didn't work.

Got a message from him today, says hes just moved house and has no broadband and is having to pop to his "old ladys" to use the internet. He gave me a mobile number.... Tried it and the phone is switched off

 

Keep ring him right thought the night thats whot i was doing with a twat that toke Ł280 or some thing like that for a Escos WRC front bumper which we did'nt get

 

I sent him a txt to call me as soon as he get my txt.... also so i could see when he switches his phone back on.

Well it got delivered so i waited.... no call. So i ring the number again.... No answer, just rings and rings

This is starting to piss me off

 

Just keep ring to as late as you can
