pers numberplate question

does my sierra need to have valid road tax to transfer the plate or is it ok with just valid mot??

thought it was as long as had been taxed in last 6 months.

You don't need tax. I've just changed the plate over on mine and the donor vehicle didn't have it. Just a valid MOT and the relevant forms. Takes about 7 working days to do....
