Well I wonder if it could have gone any worse?!?!?!?!

Flight was supposed to leave 16:00, and arrive in Newark at about midnight - cept it was delayed till 18:20, then again till 20:30, then again "indefintely"

So I was switched onto the 18:00 flight to JFK, which left late, where I landed in JFK (the otherside of New York City lol) at about 2am. By the time I got through customs and immigration it was 3am - to only THEN be told my baggage was still in Heathrow

Then a MAMMOTH trek across city using random public transport I finally arrived at Erik (Fastmaul) 's place at about 1am US time - 6am to you and me

It's now nearly 8am (1pm UK?) and I'm fucked And I want my bag lol.....

I paid 253 return, but I only booked it 4 days before I left LOL

It's 8:30 am right now and I'm sitting in Eriks apartment waiting for JFK to deliver my bag (they rang last night said they had it and checked the address saying it would be here by 9am) so can't go anywhere till it get's here Cos I sure as fuck ain't going all the way back to JFK to get it - took me over an hour to get from JFK to Eriks apartment - at midnight Saturday, riding the subway through Jamaica, Queens and Brooklyn Scary shit!!!!!

Gonna kick up a motherfucker of a fuss at the airport on Thursday when I fly out - delayed flights, lost bag, failed to get on the next two flights to get it to me, etc, etc - gonna try for a business class or first class upgrade methinks!!!!!

Well, 36hrs after I arrived in NYC - finally my luggage has arrived too!!!! Cheeky fookers cut the padlock off it tho and rifled through it!!!! Was still half open when the guy took it off the van!!!!! But looks like all my stuff is still in it - and there wasn't any financially valuable stuff in it - just stuff I needed like chargers, plugs, clothes etc....

Right, now thats done, off out to enjoy the remaining few days of my trip - before going though the whole headache on the way back again

The yanks have been cutting bags open since 9/11 - they even advise you to either not lock your bag or use "approved" locks that the authorities have keys for.

I really wouldn't make a big fuss at the airport - you don't know if the person you are giving a hard time to has had a shitty day, and you could be the one to tip her over the edge --- and you into orange overalls for an extended stay at Camp X-Ray!!

Enjoy NYC though.

I think I am within my rights to go to the Virgin Customer Service desk and explain to them I am not happy that a) my flight was delayed three times, b) I was switched to a flight that landed at the wrong airport, c) my luggage wasn't put on said flight, d) it was then sent to a different aiport, e) then missed the next two planes to be sent to the right airport, and finally f) took 3 days to arrive with me - meaning I had to go buy clothes, and personal items such as chargers etc since mine weren't with me....

Personally, I think that gives me the right to go tell them all of the above, and ask for an upgrade or something

Just remember that, in the land of the free, your idea of your rights and the authorities idea of your rights may not match. And in that game of Top Trumps, their big guns top out your outraged indignation!

Besides which, complaining at New York may get you a better seat on the way home - waiting till you get back to Heathrow "might" get an upgrade on your next return trip.

Just remember, he flew an English Airline carrier and you are more than welcomed to complain here all you want as long as you're not threating anyone. Oh, and don't ever say bomb in an airport

Did he tell you guys yet how hot it is over here LOL.

No shit at not saying bomb in airport

And yes, it's DAMN hot! Like 80degree's most of the day I have to stick to the shade or I start melting

Thats another reason why it's cool hanging out in the Apple store - their aircon temp is set JUST right

My feet are fooking killing me tho - I walked about 75-80blocks today, plus hiking round central park
