How rare are these?

Whats a standard one worth in decent condition with tax and test? Around the same as a Renault 5 in the same condition, or more?

 

Far less, or at least used to be.

Just a R5GTT in a heavier uglier body.

Comedy fun tho as can be made fast as and look SHITE

Mate had one once, well funny.

Their boost pipes are handy as they hugely long so can be cut up to be used for other stuff

 

I thought they might be worth more as you never see one! Randomness factor.

Always going to be slower than an R5GTT, as they weigh about 200g

 

Just scoured the internet, can't find any for sale....

I might snap it up, and hope some Renault geekmond will give me 1500 for it or something

They were v.sucsessful rallycars in their class at the time IIRC!

They a lot better cars than youd think, youd think theyd be way worse than GTTs, but they not, but they still look like dogwank

For some cheap fun they good tho if they miles cheaper than a GTT.

Almost none left these days.

Renault 9 turbos are even rarer, dont think i seen one of them for about 10yrs
They cooler too IMO, R5GTT again underneath, but kinda like a booted 11.

 

I kind of like the way the R11s look

But I don't want to buy one!

 

There is an elderly lady near me who has a black r9 turbo, mint it is.
I like the 9/11 turbos as they are so unassuming and people always underate them, until they step on the loud pedal, loads of potential, buy it and keep it, would rather have a 9 or 11 turbo than a rst anyday, not as good but more unusual.

my mate had 1 and a 9 the 1 with the boot

 

ive had 3 of them, great fun and handle better than the r5's though, rare as they are mint ones sell for around £1k tops, there normally bought to be broken up for engines etc...... its the same story with these as the 309 and 205 gti's, clio 16v and 19 16v etc....... RTOC.org is the best place for advice etc...

I might just go and buy it for a blast about. I got 3 years NCB sat around doing nothing from another policy, so wouldn't cost me the earth to get on the road with.

 

They got quality shagging seats that slide forward/up and down

My mate picked up a MINTER sat in a garden a few years back for £200. Was a fun car actually.

Look far better than the 5's i reckon and felt quite nippy in its heyday !!!!

 

love r11 turbos , iv had 2 both white ,and both written off , i swore i would never buy another one after that
