Did all the 1.7 Pumas come with traction control as standard or was it an option?

When you start ours up the traction control light comes on on the dash (Orange tyre with gravel flying out the back of it) for a few seconds then goes off. Does having the TC light mean the car has it, or is it a standard light whether it exists or not

As far as i know it's just a standard 1.7i (02 plate) with nothing out of the ordinary option-wise.

Another thing, the log book/V5 say Puma 1.7i, but when searching for insurance, you type in the registration number and it comes back with "Ford Puma 1.7 Black" special edition....didnt all these have leather seats, as ours doesnt. Where do the insurance companies databases get populated from?

 

If you've a 1.7, then you have Traction Control.

It's near useless, but you have it...lol

Special Edition "Blacks" have leather as STD and the F1 type wheels, So if yours is coming back as a Black and you have no leather, there's something up. Maybe the previos owner sold the interior leather for a fast buck?

It came with an aftermarket cheapo Panasonic CD player so looks like it was put in by a previous owner in place of the ford tape desk i can only assume. Did the Black come with CD player as standard (Ford 6000?)

 

As yours is a new one, it should have come with the 6000 CD player as standard. The tape versions were only on the older sort IIRC.
