Mate has a '90 one and he's having the engine rebuilt. He wants to get an extra bit of power out of it. Whats the best way to go?

fit a turbo lump. sure he can fit a new cam chip it etc th usual

 

go for a zvh conversion use a mondeo black top bottom end u need a new head gasket from felpro and a water pump conversion plate also a 1.3 cvh timin belt tensioner to use the original 1.6timing belt will drop straight in mate

 

what kind of power would such a engine make? 2,0 bottum and xr3i head?

 

Put a yb in there.

Bin the CVH and fit a 2.0ltr ZETEC on motorbike TBs with cams you are looking at nearly 200bhp.

 

bin the cvh.
fit zetec or if poss rs2000 lump as thats 150bhp as standard
