Default 1.9 CVH Turbo

Hi,

Probs the most obvious answe under the sun but I was just wondering what you need to turn the 1.6 CVH into a 1.9?

just turn the 6 upside down its a differant bottom end mate

you don't its a differnt engine/bottom end mate- just a difernt way of doing it with some more ccs thats all

Best way is to use the American tall block if you want to do it. It can be done by overboring the 1600 bottom end but it doesn't leave much meat on it.

To be honest I wouldn't bother as most 1.9 converted cars fail to deliver what they promise

Are they not beter lower rev's?
Say you werent going for big power would it not be a bit more driveable say on b roads?

Not from experience. It seems you have to spend a wedge to geth them to perform and then you could have spent that cash on a 1600 and had a better result.

A lot of the performance gains appear to be from headwork anyway Nicks s2 prob being an extreme example lol

You sure on that mate?

Jamie Going's 1.9 was the first to 160mph

They are a good conversion really, nice and simple to carry out

Yes I'm sure of it mate. There are some 1.9 cars that have performed Jamies being one and Ollie's being another. There really aren't that many though so I stand by my comment completely
