Iv had about 4 escorts and the starter keeps going i know it's down to the heat of the exhaust but what other starters will fit?. At the moment my starter is on the exhaust. Is there any starters that are shorter as im not sure if the 1 iv got is for a s2. I would buy new but a bit strapped for cash so i will be looking for a second hand one

Ive got an XR2i one on mine and it's about 1-2 inches shorter than the escort one since fitting it ive had no problems starting mine when hot.

Got a lucas cossy on on mine They are ment to be alot less sensitive to the common heat assosiated problems you get with the standard item But they are slightly longer in length
