no it has fse boost valve 2l gas flow and ported throttelbody give it another 15+ BHP from standerd

well it dose because i hade a red xr3i mk5b 3 door with a 2l mondao lump in it and all same mod and it was runing 150BHP when i finished with it the gti is just as quick !!!

Give him a break at least his doesn't look overkill with daft wheels and coffee stained leather trim

However i don't see why its not an easy 10bhp up on standard maybe the rolling road was a little generous at 130 but 10 bhp isnt difficult to get i've seen more than 10 bhp increases with a stainless filter and boost valve good mods imo

I think in total honesty here that your gti looked terrible the trim colour was horrible especially on a white car and the half arsed euro thing didn't suit it at all but did i come on your thread giving you shit????

Nice and clean like mine and black is the best colour

Im with jungle above, the yellow paint has to go, paint the front calipers silver and the rear drums black(because nobody likeds to highlight standard drums)

nice looking GTi, 130 is easy to get from a GTi

I once had a GTi with 131BHP from an induction kit and a 2L t/b so why people are questioning is beyond me, Mine was rolling rd'd with a car club attendance to proove power out put and gained fast ford SORTED award that day

if the lad were saying 200break i'd question it but he aint is he?

but the gas flowed t/b mate? whats that about.

the throttel body as been gas flowed and polshed and ported so t is like new in side the throttel body for a clean flow of air

 

Mates got one as a runabout with a 2l T/b, 2l cams and 2l inlet.

Makes about as much power as a hampster running on a wheel.

Pony engine as standard!

i own a 160bhp escort gti with the following mods

chip
136 2.0ltr cams with piper vernier pulleys
2.0ltr throttle body
2.0ltr maf sensor
induction kit
magnex full system
performance 4-2-1 manifold with decat
performance ht leads and spark plugs

 

Considering the standard inlet only flows enough for 150 bhp I find that hard to believe. If you tune the ZETEC properly good power can be had. If you bolt on chav upgrades you get nothing.

There is no such thing as performance ht leads and plugs

 

well you know what i mean about the ht leads
also the flow has been increased with bigger injectors and a uprated ported and polished head

 

There is no point having bigger injector and a better flowing head if you are using the standard ECU and inlet.

What is the point of the verniers with standard cams? Even with uprated cams you dont need verniers, they just make setting the timing quicker.

Your £s spent to bhp gain ratio is far, far lower than it should be. The ZETEC is not longer older engines, you have do things differently. For what you have spent you should have around 200 bhp, not 150 bhp(that is the max you have in real terms and that is being kind).
