Default Rs turbo wont start, HELP!!!!

Hey every1 got a series2 rs turbo, but it wont start, got a spark and fuel going to the metering unit but its only comin out on number 1, also when u turn it over it just bangs and thars it, any ideas

what were you doing to it when the problem started or what had you just fixed or swapped over

firstly check to see if the metering head flap is bouncing when your cranking it over as thats a good sign you've got no air leaks. next check your battery is fit for the job as sometimes weak battery gives slow engine turn and weak spark. what tank and pump you using

using a diesel tank with the swirl pot from a series 2 tank welded in, and a series2 pump

hi,dont want to sound like a dummy,but check the simplest things first,sounds like in your hurry to get the engine running you have put your ignition HT leads in the wrong order
