Default Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 rally shell

I know it may be the wrong section, but it will attract more people because it is quite a hard task I have to do :

finding a sapphire cosworth rally shell, but I would need ultimatly is a group a shell. Of course finding works shell is unpossible, but finding some shells done by Ford for private-drivers is easier now.

So please if you know any group a saph shell for sale (4x4) send me a PM or email at : webmaster@xenshots.net

Thanks in advance and sorry for advertising this here.

Aren't too difficult to find ? Well I mean real shells, not poor roll cages mate, if you see what I mean. I already have some ex-works items, so getting the shell would be a great addition, a shame Mr. finch sold an ex-biasion shell few months back as he said, because I would have bought it.

I wish I could find one of François Delecour's saph somewhere, or another Biasion car !

Real shells?

I had an ex-Ford Motorsport Biasion car. Does that count? I also have his seat out of his WRC Escort.

Yes I think I see which one you mean, a white/blue one from a belgium guy (i just can't find the pic on my computer). I sold him my group a turbo, but after getting it, he said he hadn't any need of it so he sent me back, but yet never gave me shipping cost back.

Yes a shame I missed the one Tim Finch sold, but I am sure there are others around.

Seems unpossible to find a works shell or a real group A saph (not a home-modified one)...

I have had a contact who told me he had a "motorsport shell" (don't know what he meant, but still) and now he tells me he sold it.

Hey mate,

Yes I would be very interested. I got an email from a guy the other day (Mr. Halley, maybe its the man you are talking about), he is selling a R-A-S shell, car is red/blue maybe its the car you are talking about.

But yes if you can give me more details (maybe in PM ?) I would be pleased.

Yes I may be interested, because if I can get THE proper shell, I will go for a gravel setup so will need some serious (strong) material.

Thank you for helping cozzfather, yes I had seen the car for sale, 20'000euros but I had troubles with the seller which are still under "investigation" (he has to send me 130euros for 2 months now but won't enter too much in details)...

I got offered an ex-works shell (Delecour) at a rather low price. Seller told me he hasn't got documents of the car, and shell is in "medium" conditions, only got 3 pictures, here they are, do you think it would be a real ex-works car or just pure shit. Looking at the dash makes me think this can be a sort of ATM-mega-909-group-a-wrc-monster-part...

Asked for more pics, but while waiting for them, do you recon it could be the car ? Pictures of the inside of the REAL car would be helpful :

Here is what the car should be :

Unfortunetly these are all the pics I got yet, asked him for more. Unfortunetly he ain't got any mechanical part. Shell price is ok I think, considering it was an ex-delecour car (according to the guy). 3000Ł. But as I know you sold ex-works shell for less than a grand it makes me wondering if I should really look at that shell or wait for another great "bargin" !

Indeed this is why I wasn't that much enthusiast about this shell, because the price is quite high compared to what I have seen there. I should wait until I come accross a nice one at a nice price. If you got any Tim I would be greatful if you could tell me.

Know we had few words in the past, but hell we have the same passion and you've got tons of more relations and address in the business. You will surely find what I am looking for sonner than me.

colin drove quite a few cosworths that belonged to rich old blokes
who couldn't drive as good as colin,or they thought it was good for
buisness him driving their car, a R-E-D car only had so much support
from Ford, but Delacour was doing the wrc in the Kuwait Sierra
and the car was the real deal Ford Motorsport
if its a real q8 delacour shell imo its somthing to keep hold of Xen

yeah i know, bainsy dropped a big pair of bollocks with that one.
also the mcraes used to have a company called McRae motorsport
that did a bit with cosworths,in the late 80's early 1990's.
was that cosworth a mcrae motorsport car originally Tim??
Colin fucked about fixing anybodys rallycar
also selling them in between rallying if a drive was available.
if colin drove for ford in a sierra in the wrc as a official driver
that sierra would be worth a lot more than a delacour shell imo

better to get a ex works car now than when they start doing
big money.

i have seen a group a martini ford escort cosworth for 95k euros
thats 95 not 9 and a half, its in original livery, look at any old genuine
ford rs rallycar in original livery and then tell me if 3 grand is cheep
or too dear

Xen.. watch this tribute to Delacour for a peep at the Kuwait sierra
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ncois+delecour

jsut noticed this post has been moved and i can no longer reply
so have had to edit a old post...

xen the car franco cunico drove was the tamoil sierra
franco was top bananna in a sierra cosworth

here is the Kuwait Sierra driven by Francois
nice side exit exhaust

Have no access of my email box here in army, so can't see if he's sent me new pics, but 3kŁ in the shell alone in medium condition is quite some money. I wish I hadn't see the prices of some real rally shells there because 3kŁ looks quite expensive for the shell ALONE.

Will keep you informed on this, and Tim I wish you could add my email or profile in your "favourite" so if you come accross a nice shell point me on it.

Checked my emails and he told me he will take some pics next week, but told me that the car was bought in 1992 by a big italian team for the Italian Rally Championship (Cunico drove it).

Waiting for new pics.
