just picked this up today
fancied a change from fords so bit the bullet







1.9 standard apart from induction kit
1.6 gti gearbox
6 point cage
cobra seats
4 point harnesses
wilwood brake bias valve with lines run inside car

body is a bit rough, probably get rear quarters painted but theres no rot

i had a 1600 gti when i passed my test and forgot how much fun they were
pulls like a train and just makes u grin

not gunna touch the engine at the mo, just concentrate on servicing suspension etc

the piics are just off the ebay ad ill add better ones when i take em

 

Excellent stuff!!!

A car like this will probably have you tearing your hair out right up until you've 'finished' it (like most projects do I guess) but once you have finished it you'll be grinning like a loon for years to come while you enjoy the fruits of your labour!!!
