hi ive got a t3 turbo on my series one but how can i tell what stage it is?it isnt standard i know that so what markings is there to tell?

 

- look for a badge, saying who built it, and it should have a serial number, then ring up the place and ask.
- check the exhaust housing AR number (0.36 is std, 0.48 upgrade)
- if the comp housing is RST std, look and measure the compressor wheel
or if its a cossie comp housing you know its been upgraded.

 

Measure the compressor inducer diameter.

 

its got 42 stamped on it lookes like a stage 3 thats forsale on this site.just want to confirm

 

42 is whats stamp'd on std RST comp housings.


Look on the Ex housing for either 0.36 or 0.48.

 

it sounds like its standard but it pulled like a steam train when it was running so might sell it was toying with idea of cosworth engine & re fabrication anyway as im after a cossie but like my series one so might aswell combine the two!
