you need to be running 17's and you'll also need to make sure the offset is great enough

if you want measurements i'll sor thtem out later today when i get back from ff but i tried to fit them to the mondeo and both the disc and the calipers needed another inch worth of offset before they would bolt up

can't remember what the mondeo (mk3) offset is on the 18's but that shoudl give you some idea as to how much you'll need

First of all you need these conversion brackets.
(ZOO MOTORSPORT) £80

And this is how they fit.Painted mine red.

But the problem was my 17inch wheels didn,t fit. They bolted back on ,but when the wheel was turned they caught the caliper.
You need to space them out about 10mm or fit COMPOMOTIVES.
TWINS of here uses the latter option.

Also i think you will need the FOCUS RS discs as well (324mm)

Total cost of conversion can be done for about £450,depending on you getting a good cheap secondhand pair of discs and brembo calipers.
They calipers go for about £250 on E-BAY.

I was only dry fitting mine(without tapping the hub) just to see if my wheels fitted.Have still got the original brakes on as i need spacers or compomotives to make them fit.

If people are struggling with 17" wheels then 16" may prove a little bit more difficult Billy_RST

I believe the problem does not lie with clearence issues due to the diameter of the wheel, more the offset.

the offset is a bit much to be honest
i'd need at least another inch worth of clearance if i was going to fit them to the mondeo, and i'm running 18's on that

spoke to martin about it too and there was also the issue of the calipers being good for 330's
