Went to Edinburgh last Sunday with a trailer on the back of my K plate Tranny (Backbone of Britain) to pick up a 1974 Vauxhall Viva. Its in need of some work but its sitting as a bare shell at the moment waiting for its floor to be shot blasted tomorrow.

Not so much me but my father had loads when he was still alive. Rover P6, P5, 90, 100. Austin westminsters, Mk2, Mk10, S type jags. Vauxhall victors, viva's and vx. At one point he had 14 classic cars on our drive when I was a child. All tested an ready to go. Still have a Rover P6 in my mothers garage that was his. Just gathering dust.
Along with all his cars and me and my 2 brothers it was busy house.

Austin Cambridge was the banger racers favorite, I raced one around a field as a kid. The one I'm most gutted about is the Sunbeam Alpine Roadster we used to race around the field, my Dad pinched it back for the engine as his mates commer camper van had blown up
My dad was a car trader and we got to use all the old trade ins, Austin A40 Countryman, Morris Minor traveler, Ford anglia, Corsair etc

Can you forward me some pictures of this please? Is he in any clubs or anything specifically for commercials? The old man started out life as a diesel mechanic on stuff like that when he left school [before moving into racing] and I've been thinking recently about getting him an old lorry for him to fuck about with [and keep him off my back].
