Hi saw an advert the other day for a white 96 RS2000 that was a 'rare' motorsport version and knowing how advertisers use 'poetic licence' I thought was bulls@@t. Never heard of this 'version' before (cossies yes) - anyone else know?

 

Maybe a 'Motorsport shell' ie: No sunroof, No electrics etc??

 

In Germany there was a motorsport version,,

Only had a few bits different .. Engine still the same etc just a few Carbon bits in the Cabin...


Called F1 edition too..

 

they where rallied/raced and i do the preparation information for them!!!!

 

Rs2000 F1 Edition? Came witha certificate and some carbon cosmetic parts i think?

 

I had a N plated white one that was built by hendy ford motorsport down here in the sunny south .. had different cams full stainless system ( cant remember make) . twin morette headlghts and different chip and was an easy 180 bhp ,, it was wicked , the only thing i wish it did have was 4x4 ,,

was last seen around eastliegh but may have moved on , if anyone knows of it pleaes let me no

F1 edition and maxi are different...the maxi was a ridiculous wide arched thing...used in some rallies...but the fi edition is just a normarl rs with a few extras like as people have said, carbon trims in the cabin

F1 Edition RS2000 is a mk6 RS with a couple of carbon bits

F1 RS2000 Kit car is the wide arch escort you state

F2 RS2000 kit car is cossie arched MK6 WRC usualy gravell spec'd
