Default That chemical stuff what cures rust

Right, been trying to get my mate for 2 days now but hes on holiday. So, anyone know on here what this chemical is that when you put it on rust it supposed to alter the chemicals in the rust to cure it sort of thing? Cant think of the words lol(beer).

All it is, my shell has some surface rust that is some places has started to pitter the metal, not its now worth cutting it out for this and normally i would spot blast these little areas but i was wondering what this chemical was like.....save all the mess from the blast etc

Hi Lee, how are you doing mate? Are you gonna post some pics of your new project soon? My cabriolet is getting there now, although it's slow progress. Just dropped the old exhaust off today ready for the Magnex.

ps Kurust is a waste of time, I've tried it before and it's rubbish.

Trev theres a thread in the resto room

Rhys, thats what i bought it for to restore You dont buy an immaculate car with no rust and nothing wrong with it to restore do you, you BERK

Re the kurust ive used it before and all it does is turn the rust purple....that why i asked as i have heard that there is proper stuff out there that DOES work....kinda neutralises the chemicals of the rust. Its only surface stuff thats started to pitter the metal....not worth cutting it out at all
