When I got there his mum asked me to phone some friends to get5 them to come up to say our last good bye’s, and with that they told me how bad the damage was to his brain, he was going to wake up severely brains damaged, they said we have to sign a forum for the Dr’s to revive him, what would he want, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I said no way would he want wake up to be like that.
As the day went on more and more people come to say good-bye, I went in for his last wrights (I think that’s what there called)
He passed away at 6:45pm
What’s getting me down at the moment is the lads who done it are out on bail, and his funeral won’t for another 4-5 weeks

the lad who died was a bully, from what a few lads in work says about him.
the lad who was accused of hitting him was put in an id parade 5 times and not picked out once. no dna was found on the lad in question neither on the weapon. the Echo has dramatised the whole incident as a vicious beating with some wood for a bike, also the bike was stolen by the deceased.

do i think it was murder? no just a freak accident. sure he shouldn't of hit him in the face with the piece of wood.
also the lad was made out to be a good boy, 2 weeks later people were spraying grafitti (sp) in respect to lad
not all is as it seems with this so i think all these "scum should be killed" shit should be knocked in the head.

Regardless of your personal interest in this case Phil, the fact is this sort of cowardly thing is happening every day in every town and needs to be brought to a stop damn soon before we dont have a country worth living in.
Maybe in this individual case the reported facts are a little innaccurat as it seems you and teh topic starter disagree on teh facts, but you will find that people in this topic are all commenting about violent crime "In General"

i do agree with your reply stu but the reason i said my first comment was due to every one jumping on the band wagon sayin the lad should suffer.
i don't know the lad in question just some one from his area who knows both parties. i don't condone the fact he hit the lad neither should the lad of died,

My daughter was telling me of one local scumbag and refered to him allegedly having 20 ASBO points. I asked her to explain and she told me that its a gang thing where the more ASBO's they get, the higher up in teh higherarchy they are regarded.

I agree with the above, we face ahuge problem with the youth of today.
Kids are now wised up to the fact that the law cannot touch them, they can do as they please without fear of consequence.
If a teenage smacks you in the face for a happyslap attack, the police will do nothing without concrete proof and even then they will get a slap on the wrist.
Yet, you smash the little bastard one back and the old bill rubs their hands together with glee - you'll pay your fine, turn up in court and they will get their little stars
I am not knocking the old bill, they must get frustrated, Laws need to be changed, kids are not kids anymore, and if they commit a seriuos crime, they should be treated as an adult and punished likewise.
As for the dead kid, a bully on a stolen bike
pitty he was killed, i'm sure he would have been an upstanding pillar of society and been a great contributer to our ecconomical growth
There will always be people who have no care for the law no matter what, but we need to get harder on them, as it is the 10-15 hangers on that go along with it that make it a bigger problem, if they know they will be in big shit, they will be less likely to follow the main numpty.

Personally I think they should try kids for a crime, if minor, they should recieve a sentence like an adult, but
It is pursponed till they are 18, if they stay out of trouble until they are 18, it will be quashed, but if they break the law again, they will be tried and given another sentence.
When they turn 18, they will do both sentences as an adult.
Now this would take a couple of years to take affect, but kids would then realise that it will be enforced and they will do time at 18 if they don't buckle down.

agrre with most of the stuff but i think if your old enough for the crime then there old enough for the conceqencies imo. i feel the death penalty in extreme cases ie srial murders and brutal murders and pedo and rapists there the scum of earth

I can say having spent all my childhood in MILITARY schools, it was a F*****g massive shock coming to England, to no respect or law and order amongst mainly the teens and younger.
The whole of the gov need to act now as do the moronic parents.
My lad(8) was urged by older people into kicking a fence panel and breaking it, he no longer hangs around with those people.
I made him in front of "others" appologise to the lady, with a box of chocolates while I replaced her fence panel, gave her my details in case she wanted to inform the police.
The local idiots did not like her because she was indian, and the mother of the gang leader(who is a right slapper) once went out with a indian man who dumped her!!
The mother of the leader tells everybody that her sons father is a famous footballer, but I told all her friends no he is a piss head who lives locally but never sees his son.
She and a friend went into a restaurant had a slap up meal that came to over £60, the offered SEX instead of payment, QUALITY person.
Schools don't help though, my boy(now 10) been doing Martial arts since 4 years old , beat up a two older bullies who had been picking on him(seen by teacher) I was asked to attend school to sort my boy out!!
I told him well done lad, the teacher said we can't have bullying(referring to my lad!!) so I said why do you then he has merely defended himself and will be rewarded, as I pointed out if the bullies knew they could get a kicking they would not bully.
I think some parent need to have thier kids taken into care, so they can hopefully be taught/brought up correctly.
I know some quiete wonderful young people though despite society's ways whom I have a lot of respect for, fortunately they are not all bad.

Also, I don't buy into the police being powerless to stop juvenille crime as they have a wealth of power that they simply don't use. Get caught speeding or cosh billy burglar when he is lifting your gear and they are all over you like a rash. Get crashed into by a hit and run driver or burgled, you don't see the police for days.

i'm working on the new part of perth prison at the moment,the new cells have a small plazma screen tv,they may even get a phone in each cell as they are(might be hearsay)at the european court of human rights saying they should not be deprived of a phone at all times
GET THIS!! they get a key to the new cells so they can come and go as they please(inside the grounds obviously),they get locked in only at night.
not two to a cell now,they get a cell each
they should get a nice setup of a station 3 and a rack of games with the 2k compensasion they got 2-3 years ago for slopping out
far from prison deterring they will reoffend to get back in the "fourseasons hotel" as the new part has been called
oh and the view from the top cells is amazing!!

ive seen many of the same type of incidents in my local rag where the 'victim' was made out to be a totally innocent bystander, who was 'such a good lad, used to help grannys across the road' etc when in reality i know of them and they are nasty people who 'deserved' what they got.
not saying this incident couldnt have been amongst the 10% that ARE random attacks...but i believe in seeing the bigger picture, and not believing the first thing i hear.
