Default slapping noise?

my car used to run stage 1.. now iv changed to greens, 3 bar, t34.48, and gone closed loop.. im getting a sort of slapping noise from the injector/manifold.. could this be the extra fuel that is being forced through by the greens?

the car is going to be tuned tomorrow..so if anyone could tell me what it could be..would make the tuners life easier

cheers

If you leave the car alone it will make the tuners life easier, let the tuner sort it for you,I doubt your diy is of any help to your tuner

well the tuner was stumped so i rebooked for monday..

however the noise is more of a chattering noise now and only does it when the idle control valve is on..when the valve is on its idling at 200rpm.. and when i take it off it idles at 950 and the chattering noise goes even when i rev the engine..

need to get this sorted

I think you've got a plenum air leak. Check the pipe that does to the newly installed 3 BAR MAP sensor, and also check all the other plenum connections/pipework.

have you had to do the wire swap on the tps sensor? if your car did not have a L8 wiring loom?

so if your car still has the 2wd engine loom and a 4x4 L8 ecu you will need to swap the two outside wires on the tps, and fit a 4x4 tps

unless this has already been done? the pins simply come out of the plug at the tps end.

as the tps and iscv are linked so the iscv opens when the throttle is open, it may well be working kind off...erm backwards

oo that could be in..iv got a 4x4 tps but havent changed the wires around..

so this is the problem as when the icv is on it sends a chatter and when it is off it runs perfectly fine..

however would this be the reason for it idling at 200rpm aswel?

Just get the wires swapped around and then see if it still does it, odds on it will be fine. Just change one thing at a time then you will know where you stand.

these are the only changes you need to make btw

You'd only reverse the wires if changing from Level 6 to Level 8 ECU.

is the idle low or erractic with the idle speed control valve plugged in?
if so check that you've not mixed up one the injector multiplugs with the one from the iscv?
injector plug will be pulsing which would open & close the iscv quite fast causing your noise
